Having lived in the Almshouses of Lancaster Charity for several years,  and being very happy and never had any concerns about anything, I would sincerely advise you to consider joining us as a resident,from bedsit to bungalow, homes to suit all, singles and couples. and importantly keeping your independence too.

Creating a quiet Oasis within the City centre, other benefits are,the nice friendly attitude of residents and staff of the Charity which along with the lovely community spirit feeling I could not think of anywhere nicer to live.

The board of trustees are always ready to listen to residents and we have an Almoner available to assist with things too at the office. Also available to residents are day trips out, and in December the Christmas meal to which all residents are invited.

I can say with complete honesty I am very privileged  and happy to be a resident in Lancaster Charity Almshouses.

I’ve been in the Morecambe Almshouses for sixteen years and moving here was the best decision I ever made.  I was on my own after my husband died, but here I have found friends and support again.  The Grove itself is an absolute joy.  A quiet, green space with beautiful gardens, and everyone taking pride in their homes.  There is always someone to talk to and we all help each other out.  The Trust are always willing to listen and help with any problems, and they always sort things out as quickly as possible.  I am very happy here.
